The Burn Pods shown below, were installed in March 2004 in one day at the Hanover Fire Department in Virginia. Hanover’s existing structure was structurally compromised by years of training. HTL, uncomfortable with the buildings condition, recommended the addition of Burn Pods. Three fully lined burn rooms/pods were installed, increasing the size of the existing structure by about 20%. Then the existing structure was renovated with new doors, windows, concrete repairs and block work.

Shown above is the existing burn building and the newly refurbished and remodeled burn building. Two burn pods were stacked (note railing on roof of top burn pod) and another is on the side of the building. The new Burn Pods have windows and drainage scuppers, and the exterior has roll over protection.
