About Us

Our Mission:

High Temperature Linings’ mission is to create a safe and realistic fire training environment while maintaining the structural integrity of the burn building, and the safety of trainees and fire training personnel. We are dedicated to providing information, assistance, and education to any fire department wanting to improve the quality of their training program.

Our company:

High Temperature Linings was founded in Europe in the late 1980s and established in the US in 1993 when it joined forces with E.H. Glover Inc. (est. 1949) of Fairfax, Virginia. The company works with fire departments, architects, and engineers in developing safe live fire training structures. High Temperature Linings® manufactures the most durable thermal lining system available for installation into live fire training structures (burn buildings). HTL’s projects extend throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe.

Our Customers:

We are committed to building on our experiences and the experiences of our customers to offer the best products and services available to the fire training community. Our customers include state fire training academies, municipal and volunteer fire departments, community colleges, and private organizations.

Our lining, System 203, protects structures from the horrendous environments associated with progressive live fire training and is rapidly becoming the "standard" in structural protection of major fire academies in the United States and around the world. In addition to manufacturing and installing System 203, HTL provides pre-construction design and budgeting services to assist fire departments in obtaining funding packages for renovations or new buildings.

Other services provided by HTL include structural surveys of existing structures to assess structural security. Once a structure's condition is determined, informed decisions can be made regarding funding for repairs and/or renovations. HTL also designs and installs temperature monitoring systems (TMS) that enable divisions to preserve the safety of their training environments and students.

HTL is committed to providing the safest, most reliable and durable live fire training environment possible. Please refer to our list of references to appreciate the breadth of our experience. We are committed to building on our experience and the experiences of our customers to offer the best products and services available to the fire training community. We hope you will join us in this effort.

Our lining, System 203, protects walls and ceilings from thermal shock, water damage, extreme temperatures and damage from fire training equipment.

The extreme conditions associated with live fire training can detrimentally harm a training structure.

We import our materials from all over the world for our specific applications, and our own personnel work in all stages of production -- from manufacturing (above) to installation (below).
